With the exception of parentage testing, Genoscoper Laboratories no longer offers canine single-gene tests in other way than as part of its new comprehensive genetic health assessment MyDogDNA PassTM. As communicated previously this change took effect on June 20th. However, our goal is to be able to provide to all our customers - still this autumn - the possibility to purchase a single-gene test through the new MyDogDNA service. This way dog owners would get one step closer to the comprehensive dog DNA pass and they would not need to renew the already purchased test, incase they wish to order the DNA pass for their dogs later on. By this change we make sure that all of the tested dogs contribute to MyDogDNA's dynamic and public breed health reporting and that the test results can be deployed also by different canine genetics research teams.
MyDogDNA Pass was launched on June 10th, 2013 and it can be purchased online at a price of 199 EUR at: www.mydogdna.com/dnapass.
The world's first genetic health assessment for dogs is based on a genome-wide analysis developed by Genoscoper Laboratories' research team and it simultaneously tests for over 100 known genetic disorders and traits in dogs and measures the genetic diversity of both an individual dog as well as within breed.
